OB/GYN PA Salary Guide

The average PA salary is $133,260 per year in the U.S., according to 2024 data from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. 

This data represents PAs as a whole and provides an accurate estimate of the annual compensation for OB/GYN PAs.

Locum tenens OB/GYN PAs can make upwards of $92 per hour on average, however, there are many factors that impact rates including location, years of experience, and the level of demand.

If you were to extrapolate that rate over a year (at 40 hours per week), the average locum salary comes out to around $191,360. 

That means locum tenens OB/GYN PAs can make up to 43% more than the average provider. However, making direct salary comparisons can be complicated. The average PA salary increased by around 5% from 2023 to 2024, according to Medscape’s 2025 “Physician Assistant Compensation Report.” Based on this information, OB/GYN PAs can expect to make $139,923 in annual compensation in 2025.
