Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for an exciting 90-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, commencing Jun 25, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services across multiple facilities, including endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, GYN robotics, and cardiac procedures. The schedule typically consists of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with weekday and weekend call responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to provide vital patient care in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general anesthesia for adult patients.
  • Perform spinal/epidural anesthesia and regional anesthesia.
  • Manage complex vascular and orthopedic cases.
  • Conduct neurosurgical spine cases and ventilation management.
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
  • Administer anesthesia services for various procedures including endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, GYN robotics, urology, podiatry, pulmonary, gastroenterology, and cardiac procedures.
  • Expected to manage approximately 5 patient encounters per shift.
  • Comfortably practice independently and perform peripheral nerve blocks.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification: Must be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • EMR System: Cerner.
  • Candidates must be comfortable practicing independently and performing peripheral nerve blocks; training for blocks will not be provided.
  • Case logs of blocks performed are required.
