Job Description

 Barton Associates is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a critical access hospital in California. This assignment begins on 10/01/2025, and requires coverage for 5-7 shifts each month, with a total of 21 days requested. The CRNA will work independently, providing anesthesia services for a variety of cases including orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopies, ENT, pediatrics, and outpatient procedures. The schedule is primarily 7 am to 3 pm, with optional night call and weekend coverage. The role involves performing general and regional anesthesia, including subarachnoid and epidural techniques, as well as peripheral nerve blocks for upper and lower extremities.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide independent anesthesia services in a 3-OR setting

• Administer general and regional anesthesia for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients

• Perform subarachnoid and epidural techniques

• Conduct peripheral nerve blocks for upper and lower extremities

• Place peripheral IVs, arterial lines, and central venous catheters

• Manage advanced airways

• Cover a variety of cases including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopies, ENT, pediatrics, and outpatient procedures

• Participate in optional night call and 24-hour weekend call (Saturdays and Sundays)

• Adapt to potential schedule changes for added daytime cases


Additional Information:

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is beneficial

• California license required

• No spine, neurosurgery, vascular, or OB cases at this facility

• Possibility of assignment extension
