Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician - Anesthesiologist for a 20-day assignment with our client in California, beginning Feb 14, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care across 8, 10, or 12+ hour shifts, with a focus on diverse surgical cases including cardiology, dental, general surgery, ophthalmology, and orthopedics, as well as supporting a busy labor and delivery service and healthy pediatric patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia services in a main hospital setting with 5 operating rooms and a satellite campus with 4 additional operating rooms.
  • Support a moderately busy labor and delivery service.
  • Manage a variety of surgical cases including cardiology (pacemakers), dental, head and neck surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, and urology.
  • Care for healthy pediatric patients.
  • Provide limited support for interventional radiology and other out-of-OR procedures.
  • Note: There is no neuro, spine, or open heart surgery required for this position.
  • Perform shifts of 8, 10, or 12+ hours, with no cap on total hours or days, but without exceeding 24-hour shifts.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
  • The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Epic.
