We are seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position in Maryland. This 100-day assignment at a Hospital requires coverage from Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM, with an 8-hour guarantee and potential for longer shifts, starting from 08/04/2025. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for providing anesthesia services for a wide range of procedures including trauma, general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, cath lab/EP, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, MRI, IR, and pediatrics (healthy children over 2 years old). The role involves light supervision of CRNAs and performing various anesthetic techniques including blocks, epidurals, and spinals.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia services for a diverse range of surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop appropriate anesthetic plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Manage post-operative pain and recovery
• Conduct blocks, epidurals, and spinals as needed
• Provide light supervision to CRNAs
• Handle anesthesia for trauma cases, including orthopedic trauma and car accidents
• Manage anesthesia for obstetric procedures, including C-sections
• Provide anesthesia services for pediatric patients (healthy and over 2 years old)
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic health record system
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed in Maryland
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Comfortable with a wide range of anesthesia techniques and procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
