Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a 100-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves alternating 24-hour OR call and surgery center days, with a preference for 5-7 day blocks and weekend OR call. Key responsibilities include managing complex anesthesia cases across adult, trauma, pediatric, vascular, orthopedic, and obstetrical populations, as well as CRNA supervision.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Administer general anesthesia for adult, trauma, and pediatric patients
  • Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia
  • Provide regional anesthesia for surgical procedures
  • Manage obstetrical anesthesia cases
  • Handle complex vascular and orthopedic cases
  • Implement pain management techniques, including post-op epidural and extremity blocks
  • Administer epidural steroid injections for lumbar and cervical regions
  • Perform central and arterial line placements
  • Supervise CRNAs
  • Complete Epic EMR training two weeks prior to first shift

Additional Information
  • Mississippi medical license required
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications required
  • Epic EMR training must be completed prior to assignment
