Job Description

 Experienced Anesthesiologist needed for a 28-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in North Carolina. The assignment is split across three periods: August 11-18, September 1-15, and November 3-10, 2025. The physician will work Monday through Thursday from 7am to 3pm, with additional night call responsibilities. The role involves providing anesthesia services for a variety of procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, OB/GYN, and pediatric dental cases. The anesthesiologist must be able to start surgery within 30 minutes of call back. Proficiency in Epic EHR is required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures

• Manage pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgeries

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures

• Respond promptly to emergency situations

• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR

• Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes

• Oversee post-anesthesia care and pain management

• Adhere to all hospital policies and anesthesiology protocols

• Stay updated on the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed as an Anesthesiologist in North Carolina
