Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or truly board-eligible Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts Nov 14, 2025, and spans 84 days, with Monday to Friday 8-hour day shifts and scheduled call. The ideal candidate is comfortable with pediatric cases and supervising CRNAs. Assignment may be extended if it is a good fit.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts (8am-5pm or 7am-4pm); weekend and some weeknight call. Includes 24-hour weekend call Nov 14-16, 2025, and Monday-Friday shifts Nov 17-21, 2025. Ongoing dates to be confirmed.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide anesthesia care for a range of cases, including pediatric patients
  • Supervise CRNAs in the delivery of anesthesia services
  • Ensure patient safety and monitor vital signs during procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all anesthesia-related activities
  • Comply with all regulatory and facility-specific protocols

Additional Information
  • Must have active New York license
  • PALS, ACLS, and BLS required (one certification may be obtained after offer if needed)
  • Must be comfortable with pediatric anesthesia
  • Required to supervise CRNAs
  • Board certification or true board eligibility in Anesthesiology is required
