 Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in Texas. This comprehensive opportunity offers coverage starting 07/07/2025, for 46 days, with potential for extension. The assignment involves working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general anesthesia, inpatient care, OB, GI, and Ortho procedures. Working alongside 3 MDs and 6 CRNAs in a supervision model, the anesthesiologist will participate in a 1:4 call rotation, including one weekend call shift per month. Experience with heads, hearts, and pediatric cases is a bonus. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a skilled Anesthesiologist to contribute their expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide general anesthesia for various surgical procedures
  • Manage anesthesia care for inpatient, OB, GI, and Ortho cases
  • Participate in 1:4 call rotation, including weekend coverage
  • Supervise CRNAs in a team-based model
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans
  • Monitor patients during procedures and manage post-operative care
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR system
  • Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures
  • Participate in any necessary staff meetings or consultations
  • Stay updated on the latest anesthesia techniques and safety protocols


Additional Information:

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • Experience in general anesthesia, OB, GI, and Ortho cases essential
  • Comfort with heads, hearts, and pediatric cases is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR system is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required
