We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiovascular and Thoracic Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Feb 16, 2026, with a 154-day contract and follows a 7 on 7 off overnight schedule from 7p to 7a. The provider will join a team focused on daily inpatient rounding, consults, and patient discharges.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct daily rounding on all inpatients in the ICU and stepdown units
  • Perform initial assessments for new consults
  • Discharge patients as appropriate
  • Manage an average of 10-15 patients daily, with a total census typically between 20-30 patients
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
  • Provide care in line with established protocols and standards of care

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Indiana license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Comfortable managing cases and performing relevant procedures
