 Barton Associates is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position in Colorado. This 63-day assignment at a hospital begins on 08/04/2025, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and one Saturday morning per month. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, including morning hospital rounds and consults, afternoon outpatient clinic visits, and advanced cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with stress testing, tilt table testing, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinic visits. This opportunity offers a comprehensive cardiology experience, requiring a current Colorado license and proficiency with Athenahealth and Meditech EHR systems. There is potential for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct morning inpatient rounds and hospital consults

• Manage follow-up and new patient cases in the hospital setting

• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac procedures, including tilt table testing

• Conduct various types of stress testing (nuclear, exercise, echo, dobutamine)

• Provide outpatient clinic visits, typically seeing 10-14 adult patients per day

• Supervise and interpret non-invasive procedures such as echocardiograms, nuclear/exercise stress tests, and tilt-table evaluations

• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals

• Handle ED consults as needed

• Utilize Athenahealth and Meditech EHR systems for patient documentation and management

• Participate in one Saturday morning shift per month (preferred)

Additional Information:

• Must possess an active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license

• Experience with Athenahealth and Meditech EHR systems preferred

• Strong cardiology background and experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
