We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This role commences on Aug 11, 2025, offering a weekday schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with no call duties involved. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage follow-up visits, including 45-minute sessions for medication adjustments, symptom monitoring, and chronic care management.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab tests.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education focused on lifestyle counseling, risk factor modification, and medication compliance.
  • Coordinate care by collaborating with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to create comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Triage acute issues, assessing symptoms like chest pain or palpitations and directing urgent care when necessary.

Additional Information
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Oregon.
  • Familiarity with Meditech EHR is essential for managing patient information efficiently.
