Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Physician Assistant for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Feb 9, 2026, and features 7p-7a shifts. The provider will round daily on all floor level of care patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line and perform ICU procedures as indicated. Candidates must hold an active NC license and DEA.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Round daily on all floor level of care patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line
  • Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission histories and physicals (H&Ps), new consult notes, and discharge summaries
  • Order medications, testing, and procedures when indicated
  • Perform procedures in the ICU when indicated, including arterial line placement, central line placement, and cardioversion
  • Perform new consults with attending physician

Additional Information
  • Candidates must have an active NC license and active NC DEA
  • Required board certification: Cardiology
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
