Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Maryland. This 120-day assignment begins on 08/11/2025, and offers a mix of clinic and inpatient coverage. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with 1:4 weeknight and weekend call. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with new patient and follow-up appointments, nuclear medicine, echocardiograms, stress tests, and reading echos and EKGs. While TEE experience is not required, it is considered a plus. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Cardiologist looking for a rewarding temporary assignment with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide both clinic and inpatient day coverage

• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments

• Perform and interpret nuclear medicine studies, echocardiograms, and stress tests

• Read and interpret echocardiograms and EKGs

• Participate in on-call rotation (1:4 weeknight and weekend)

• Adapt to paper charting system (facility transitioning to Cerner)

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
