Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity begins on Dec 31, 2025, and features 24-hour call shifts with OR time from 7 AM to 12 PM. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of first assist experience, with strong proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting in CABG, valve, and great vessel surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide first assist in cardiothoracic surgical cases, including CABG, valve, and great vessel procedures
  • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Participate in 24-hour call coverage and provide perioperative support
  • Work in the OR from 7 AM to 12 PM as scheduled
  • Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care


Additional Information

  • Minimum 3 years of first assist experience required
  • Experience in a Trauma center is highly preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required
  • Arkansas licensure required
