Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, including vein harvesting
• Conduct rounds on CVICU and telemetry patients post cardiac surgery
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage in a trauma center
• Manage post-operative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Monitor and manage patients' post-operative progress
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic health record system
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care conferences
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the cardiothoracic surgery department
Additional Information:
