Job Description

Our client in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Surgery - Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment starting May 4, 2026. This role involves 12-hour day shifts, focusing on comprehensive post-operative cardiac care for 10-18 patients daily. Key duties include removing pacing wires, chest tubes, and drains, managing care coordination, conducting new and follow-up consults, and handling occasional admissions and discharges, with a strong emphasis on comfort with post-operative cardiac surgery patients and pacemakers.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM).
  • Remove pacing wires, chest tubes, and drains.
  • Manage care coordination for patients.
  • Conduct new and follow-up consults.
  • Handle occasional admissions and discharges.
  • Provide post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
  • Manage patients with pacemakers.
  • See 10-18 patients per day.
