 We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens assignment through Barton Associates. This opportunity is located in Pennsylvania and requires coverage for 60 days, starting 07/28/2025. The ideal candidate will work night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM on a 7-on/7-off schedule in a hospital setting. The role involves managing patients in the cardiovascular/cardiothoracic ICU and step-down unit, handling balloon pumps, central lines, chest tubes, and performing admissions, discharges, and consults. No OR or first assist duties are required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive care in the cardiovascular/cardiothoracic ICU and step-down unit

• Manage patients with balloon pumps, central lines, and chest tubes

• Perform patient admissions, discharges, and consults

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient management

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards

• Participate in patient and family education

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania

• Experience in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic ICU settings is required

• Proficiency in Epic is beneficial

• No OR or first assist duties required

• Possibility of assignment extension
