We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. Provider Type Needed: Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner
Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm; potential for weeknight and weekend call
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Convergence, wire removal, myxoma removal, and pericardial window
Participate in ICU rounding, vein harvesting, and first assist in the operating room
Conduct hospital consults and participate in outpatient clinic work
Manage wound checks and care for pre- and post-operative patients
Perform yearly aneurysm evaluations, wound vac placement, and suture/staple removal
Conduct telephone visits for aneurysm evaluations
Coordinate video visits with thoracic surgeons
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level III trauma center
Additional Information
Minimum 2 years of nurse practitioner experience required
Inpatient and outpatient experience preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Board certification preferred
Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
