 Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 07/14/2025, working weekdays from 7 AM to 5 PM, with a 1:5 call rotation. This opportunity requires expertise in ICU rounding, cardiac medical unit rounding, post-procedural care, surgical assistance, and consultations. The selected provider will be responsible for CT surgery OR experience, including endoharvesting of vein and radial arteries, first assisting, and postoperative management. Schedule: Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM; Call: 1:5 rotation (Weekdays: 12 PM–7 AM next day, Weekends: Friday 7 AM–Monday 7 AM)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct morning ICU rounding and cardiac medical unit rounding

• Perform post-procedural rounding and manage postoperative care

• Assist in surgical cases, including endoharvesting of vein and radial arteries

• Serve as first assistant in cardiothoracic surgeries

• Provide consultations to hospitalists, ED, and various internal and external referring services

• Manage and coordinate patient care within the cardiothoracic surgery department

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic electronic health record system

• Participate in the on-call rotation, providing coverage during nights and weekends

• Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiothoracic surgical techniques and practices

Additional Information:

• Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner license required

• Experience with Epic EHR system preferred

• Strong background in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential
