We are seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut, starting Feb 2, 2026. This opportunity features a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:45 AM to 5 PM, with approximately 7-8 night and weekend calls per month. The assignment offers the chance to work with advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures in a dynamic clinical environment, with potential for extension or permanent hire.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform procedures including descending aortic aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), off-pump CABG, and arterial revascularization using internal mammary, radial, and gastroepiploic arteries
  • Manage redo coronary revascularization cases
  • Conduct tube thoracostomy and pericardial window procedures
  • Address thoracic aortic aneurysms and perform heart valve repair/replacement surgeries
  • Utilize CoreValve System and perform mitral valve repairs

Additional Information
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Active Connecticut medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Local providers preferred
