Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 15-day locum tenens assignment in Florida, starting Aug 4, 2025. The role entails a schedule of 7a-4p OR shifts plus inpatient rounding with 24-hour weeknight call coverage on selected dates. This position offers the opportunity to engage in highly specialized procedures at a trauma center.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform aortic valve replacements
  • Conduct aneurysm repairs and replacements
  • Carry out coronary artery bypass graft surgeries (CABGs)
  • Provide patient care during scheduled OR hours and inpatient rounding
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Must hold a valid Florida medical license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications needed
  • Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
  • Vascular experience is advantageous
