Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Florida, starting on Jul 7, 2025. This role involves a schedule of 7a-4p OR shifts with inpatient rounding and 24-hour weeknight call coverage. The primary focus will be on aortic valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and CABGs in a trauma center environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform aortic valve replacements
  • Conduct aneurysm repairs and replacements
  • Carry out coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Provide care in both OR and inpatient settings
  • Manage responsibilities associated with a trauma center


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must have experience with Epic EMR systems
  • Previous work with AdventHealth or possession of an AdventHealth OPID preferred
  • Vascular experience is advantageous
