Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 12-week locum tenens assignment in Florida, beginning Sep 11, 2025. The role involves a rigorous schedule, including weekday OR shifts from 7 AM to 4 PM combined with inpatient rounding and 24-hour night call coverage from Thursday through Sunday. This position is based at trauma center, where the provider will focus on aortic valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and CABGs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform aortic valve replacements
  • Conduct aneurysm repairs and replacements
  • Manage coronary artery bypass grafts (CABGs)
  • Ensure high standards of care in all surgical procedures
  • Participate in on-call duties as required


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must hold a valid Florida medical license
  • Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
  • Availability to cover one weekend per month is essential
