Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm in-house; call from 5pm–7am; weekend call every 2–3 weekends (Friday 5pm through Monday 7am); all calls from home, not in-house
Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as first assist in the operating room for thoracic and cardiac surgery cases
Utilize Marquet equipment and perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
Provide care on the ICU floor as needed
Participate in on-call coverage, handling calls from home during evenings and weekends
Collaborate closely with surgical and critical care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to established protocols
Additional Information
Active Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license required (not accepting NLC)
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
This is a full-time locum assignment; PRN and limited availability are not considered
