 Experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon needed for a locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Arkansas. This 21-day assignment, starting 08/01/2025, requires 24-hour call coverage and OR availability from 7 am to 12 pm daily, with 1-2 procedures expected per day. The position involves working 1-2 weeks per month, with flexibility on exact dates. Key responsibilities include performing aortic valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and CABGs at a trauma center. Proficiency in Epic EHR is required. This opportunity offers potential for extension and ongoing monthly coverage.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for UAMS

• Perform surgical procedures from 7 am to 12 pm daily

• Conduct 1-2 procedures per day on average

• Specialize in aortic valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and CABGs

• Handle complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries

• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a trauma center setting

• Participate in emergency and trauma surgeries as needed

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using Epic EHR

• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures

• Demonstrate excellent surgical skills and patient care

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Arkansas

• Experience with Epic EHR preferred
