Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role offers Monday through Friday day shifts with occasional on-call coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgery, including vein harvesting and rounding, and must be board certified or board eligible.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day of clinical/hospital/OR time with occasional on-call availability

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in cardiac and thoracic surgeries
  • Perform vein harvesting procedures
  • Participate in rounding on patients
  • Provide clinical support in hospital and operating room settings
  • Respond to occasional on-call needs as required

Additional Information
  • Must have active Alaska license and Alaska DEA
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Must hold Cardiac Surgery Certification - Adult (CSC)
  • Board certified or board eligible as a Physician Assistant
  • Experience in CT surgery required
