Job Description

We are seeking a Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Jan 19, 2026, with a 7 on 7 off night schedule from 7p-7a. The provider will support inpatient care, including ICU and stepdown, with daily rounding and new consults.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform daily rounding on all inpatients in ICU and stepdown units
  • Evaluate and manage new consults and discharge patients
  • See an average of 10-15 patients daily, with a total census of 20-30 patients
  • Manage a variety of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases and procedures
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Indiana license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Comfortable with cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases and procedures
