Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Nevada. This opportunity starts on Nov 3, 2025, and features Monday through Friday shifts of 8 to 10 hours, with an early 6 a.m. start. The schedule offers flexibility, including potential two weeks on, two weeks off, and may include operating room call only. Candidates should hold an active NV license and possess at least one year of experience assisting in CT or CVT surgery. Vein harvesting skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • First assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
  • Support the surgical team in the operating room
  • Utilize vein harvesting skills if available
  • Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to all protocols and safety standards
  • Complete documentation and communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team

Additional Information
  • Active Nevada PA license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • At least one year of first assist experience in CT or CVT surgery preferred
  • Vein harvesting experience is beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Credentialing can be completed within two weeks for a clean file
