Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Needed in OH

Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Ohio, commencing Apr 3, 2026. This role involves a mix of 7 AM to 5 PM day rounding or 6 PM to 6 AM night call shifts, focusing on routine cardiothoracic cases such as CABG, valves, complex aorta, and lobectomy, including endoscopic vein harvesting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 12-hour night call or day rounding coverage.
• Manage 7 AM to 5 PM rounding shifts or 6 PM to 6 AM call shifts.
• Handle routine cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy, and VATS.
• Assist with occasional ECMO cases.
• Perform vein harvesting, utilizing endoscopic techniques with Maquet Hemopro 2.
• Be available within 30 minutes of the hospital for call shifts if local, or utilize provided nearby hotel accommodation.
• Manage calls, with most being handleable over the phone, and a low probability of being called in.
