Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in South Carolina. This call-only position begins Sep 11, 2025, and spans a 5-day assignment with coverage in the clinic, surgery suite, and ICU/CICU. The schedule runs from 8a on Sep 11 to 1p on Sep 15, with shifts from 8a to 1p. Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years of vein harvesting experience and hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. Experience with the Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide call coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients
  • Cover clinic, surgery suite, and ICU/CICU settings as required
  • Perform vein harvesting with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Respond to emergent and routine patient care needs during call
  • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination

Additional Information
  • Must have active South Carolina license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Minimum 5 years of vein harvesting experience required
