Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 19, 2026. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, day shifts, and includes regular call responsibilities as part of a 1:4 rotation. The ideal candidate will bring 3-4 years of first assist experience in cardiothoracic surgery and hold current ACLS certification.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- First assist on cardiothoracic surgery cases
- Provide perioperative and postoperative patient care within the surgical team
- Participate in daily rounds and patient assessments
- Manage clinical documentation related to patient care
- Participate in 1:4 night and weekend call rotation as required
Additional Information
- 3-4 years of cardiothoracic surgery first assist experience required
- Current Virginia license required
- ACLS certification required
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
