Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in West Virginia. This opportunity begins on Feb 23, 2026, and spans 84 days, featuring 24-hour call shifts from 7a to 7a and one clinic half-day per week, two weeks per month. The ideal candidate will be board certified in adult cardiac surgery and hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care, including management of acute and elective cases
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
• Conduct one outpatient clinic half-day per week
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of patient encounters
• Adhere to facility protocols and regulatory standards

Additional Information

• Must possess current West Virginia medical license
• Cardiac Surgery Certification - Adult (CSC) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Previous experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery preferred
