We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Critical Care Medicine for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Maryland. This 36-day assignment starts on 11/03/2025, primarily covering night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, with an additional hour for sign-out. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with CVS-ICU post-operative care for transplant, ECMO, LVAD, bypass, and surgical patients, as well as performing invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube removal, and pacer wire removal. The position offers the potential for extension and a flexible schedule, with the possibility of alternating between day and night shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide critical care to patients in an ICU
• Manage post-operative cardiac care
• Perform invasive procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube removal, and pacer wire removal
• Collaborate with a team of APPs, typically working with at least one other APP per shift
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system
• Maintain a patient load of approximately 4 patients per provider
Additional Information:
• Maryland state license required
• Experience with post-operative care for transplant, ECMO, LVAD, and bypass patients preferred
• Flexibility to potentially cover both day and night shifts
• No more than 5 consecutive shifts will be scheduled • No on-call duties required
