We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Jan 6, 2026, spans 84 days, and features a 7 on 7 off schedule with 12-hour day and night shifts in a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This role is ideal for nurse practitioners with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience who are ready to contribute to a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide advanced care to patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
  • Manage acute and critical illness under established protocols and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions
  • Participate in daily rounds and communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
  • Monitor and manage ventilators, vasoactive medications, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical policies


Additional Information

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Must hold active Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
