Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care Medicine Needed in NM

Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care Medicine for a 36-day assignment in New Mexico, commencing Jul 2, 2026. This role involves serving as a solo practitioner within the unit during night shifts from 7P-7A, supporting on-call critical care physicians, and managing high-acuity ICU cases including A/C lines, intubations, and chest tubes, while cardiac, GI, IR, and surgery cases are transferred to a nearby flagship hospital.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate as a solo practitioner at night within the unit.
• Support on-call critical care physicians.
• Work alongside ER and Hospitalist night doctors.
• Manage high acuity ICU cases.
• Perform A/C lines.
• Perform Intubations.
• Perform chest tubes (preferred but not required).

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
• EMR: Powerchart
• Provider must have case logs for all procedures prior to submission.
