We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 182-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role features flexible scheduling with 12-hour night shifts in the SICU, serving as the sole in-house provider per shift. Candidates must have at least 3 years of critical care experience and be comfortable with a fluid schedule structure.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the sole in-house provider for scheduled SICU night shifts
  • Manage critically ill surgical patients and respond to emergent clinical needs
  • Communicate with the attending physician, who is available by phone 24/7 and can come onsite if necessary
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and implement treatment plans for surgical ICU patients
  • Coordinate care transitions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters

Additional Information
  • Minimum of 3 years experience required in a critical care setting
  • Active Ohio nurse practitioner license required
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required
  • Long credentialing process; start as soon as credentialed
