Responsibilities and Duties
Provide independent overnight care in a 28-bed medical/surgical ICU
Collaborate with an intensivist who is on-call from home overnight
Perform A and C lines, intubations, central lines, and arterial lines
Maintain detailed and accurate case logs, demonstrating a minimum of 15 intubations, 15 central lines, and 15 arterial lines within the past 12 months
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients
Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and safety standards
Additional Information
Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license required
Board certifications required: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification - Adult Gerontology (ACNPC-AG)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) certifications required
Must provide case logs as outlined above
