Locum Tenens Dentist - AZ Needed in AZ

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dentist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Arizona, starting Dec 15, 2025. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Dentists familiar with high-volume clinics and those proficient in exodontia are preferred, though not required. The assignment involves comprehensive dental care, including emergency treatments and supervision of dental assistants.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall dental care responsibility for management of dental services to each patient
• Perform dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatments, including emergency care such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
• Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Evaluate all patients returning from offsite dental visits
• Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
• Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
• Supervise and coach dental assistants
• Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment

Additional Information

• Active Arizona dental license required
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
• Experience in high-volume settings is preferred
• Assignment begins as soon as credentialing and required screenings are complete
• Experience with TechCare EMR preferred
