Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dentist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers a flexible 4x10 schedule with shifts from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. The ideal candidate is proficient in exodontia and comfortable working in high-volume clinic settings, with required certifications including BLS, CPR, and DEA.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall dental care responsibility for management of dental services to each patient
• Perform dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatments, including emergency oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
• Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Evaluate patients returning from offsite dental visits
• Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
• Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to patients
• Supervise and coach dental assistants
• Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment

Additional Information

• Preference for candidates experienced in exodontia and high-volume clinic environments
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
• Familiarity with TechCare EMR is beneficial
