Locum Tenens Dentist - AZ Needed in AZ

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Dentist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, starting Jan 19, 2026. This role features day shifts from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume clinics and proficiency in exodontia, though this is not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall dental care responsibility for management of dental services to each patient
• Perform dental assessments, radiographic exams, and all dental treatment including emergency oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
• Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Evaluate all patients returning from offsite dental visits
• Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
• Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
• Supervise and coach dental assistants
• Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment

Additional Information

• Active Arizona dental license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and DEA certifications required
• Familiarity with TechCare EMR preferred
• Providers with experience in high-volume clinic settings are highly desirable
• Assignment start is dependent on completion of all credentialing requirements, including paperwork, TB, and drug testing
