Locum Tenens Dentist - Nebraska Needed in NE

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dentist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Nebraska, starting 06/02/2025. This opportunity involves working Monday through Thursday, with full days from 8am to 5pm and a half-day on Thursday. The dentist will be responsible for a range of general dental procedures, with a focus on extractions, fillings, and some root canals. The dentist will work alongside two dental assistants, managing two operatories and seeing an average of 10-12 procedure patients per day.

LOA: 120 days (with potential for extension) 

Provider Type Needed: Dentist

Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 8am-5pm, Thursday 8am-12pm 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform a high volume of dental extractions 

• Conduct dental fillings and occasional root canals 

• Carry out comprehensive dental exams 

• Perform hygiene checks (preferred) 

• Manage two operatories simultaneously 

• Work efficiently with two dental assistants 

• See an average of 10-12 procedure patients daily 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Nextgen software 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and dental practice standards 

• Collaborate with other specialists in the multi-specialty clinic as needed

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Nebraska 

• Experience with high-volume general dentistry is required 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential 

• Willingness to perform hygiene checks is highly desirable 

• Familiarity with Nextgen software is beneficial
