Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Dentist for a 96-day assignment in New Mexico, starting May 18, 2026. This role involves providing full-scope general dentistry, including comprehensive exams, restorative treatments, extractions, dentures, and pediatric services for an underserved patient population, typically working shifts from 7a to 6p.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver comprehensive dental care, including exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Perform restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
- Fabricate, fit, and adjust full and partial dentures.
- Conduct non-surgical (simple to moderately complex) tooth extractions.
- Perform full-scope endodontics (root canals) as needed.
- Diagnose and manage dental emergencies and infections.
- Provide preventive services, including cleanings, sealants, fluoride application, and oral hygiene instruction.
- Treat pediatric patients with exams, restorative care, extractions, and preventive services.
- Refer surgical extractions and specialty cases that are outside the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with clinic staff and coordinate with other health services within the LCDN network.
- Maintain accurate dental records and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Have the option to assist with mobile unit visits to local schools or school-based health clinics.

- Provider will manage core procedures including crowns, fillings, bridges, dentures, partials, and extractions.
- There will be additional exposure to root canals and pediatric cases as needed.
- Due to location, referral access may be limited; however, complex cases can be referred out when appropriate.
