Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Dentist for a 6-week locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Dec 19, 2025. This role features day shifts with a schedule spanning select dates in December and January. The ideal candidate will have experience treating children, including those with special needs, and be comfortable performing routine dental care and check-ups.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct dental check-ups and routine visits for pediatric patients
  • Oversee and evaluate the work of dental hygienists during cleaning appointments
  • Provide care to special needs children; advance notice required if unable to see certain patients
  • Utilize Dentrix for electronic medical records
  • Ensure compliance with all required licensure and certifications, including nitrous oxide administration
  • Maintain high standards of safety and infection control

Additional Information
  • Active Texas dental license or eligibility to obtain one required
  • DDS or DMD degree from a U.S.-accredited dental school
  • Current DEA and CPR certifications required
  • Nitrous Oxide Certification and Medicaid Certification required
  • Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) certification required
  • Experience with pediatric and special needs patients strongly preferred
