Locum Tenens Dentist - VA Needed in VA

Job Description

We are seeking a Dentist for a year-long locum tenens assignment with our client in Virginia, starting Mar 2, 2026. This position features a Monday through Thursday schedule from 8:00AM to 5:00PM and Fridays from 8:00AM to 1:00PM. The ideal candidate will have a current dental license, DEA registration, and at least one year of experience. Preference will be given to candidates already enrolled with Delta Dental.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform dental examinations: new, periodic, and problem focused
• Determine and present treatment options
• Provide dental care and treatment as prescribed and accepted by patients
• Prescribe medications as needed
• Educate patients on restorative and preventative dental health care
• Actively work with team members to support and enhance culture
• Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with our practice mission and core values

Additional Information

• Must hold a valid Virginia dental license
• DEA registration required
• Preference for candidates currently enrolled with Delta Dental
• 1-2 years of dental experience preferred
