Job Description

We are seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for an engaging 104-day assignment in Tennessee, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role requires clinical independence and a strong focus on medical and surgical dermatology. You will primarily work from 7AM-4:30PM, seeing approximately 8 patient hours per day, and participate in 1-2 half-days of surgery each week. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating sun damage, managing various rashes, performing biopsies, excisions, and other key dermatological procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Practice clinical independence while leveraging supervising physician support when needed.
  • Maintain an excellent office manner within a friendly and fair clinic culture; rude or toxic behavior will result in assignment cancellation.
  • Demonstrate prior, hands-on experience working in a dermatology setting.
  • Focus primarily on medical and surgical dermatology, with limited cosmetic emphasis.
  • Possess extensive experience in diagnosing and treating sun damage and its results, such as Actinic Keratosis and skin cancers.
  • Proficiently diagnose and treat a wide variety of rashes, including eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis.
  • Diligently review and follow up on all lab results.
  • Comfortably and proficiently communicate with patients to discuss results and treatment plans.
  • Competently perform both shave and punch biopsies.
  • Skillfully excise benign and malignant skin lesions.
  • Proficiently perform Electrodesiccation and Curettage (ED&C) procedures.
  • Administer liquid nitrogen treatments.
  • Oversee Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) sessions.
  • Participate in 1-2 half-days of surgery per week.
