Job Description

Our client in Tennessee is seeking a skilled Dermatology Physician Assistant for a 104-day assignment starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves maintaining clinical independence while managing a diverse caseload primarily focused on medical and surgical dermatology. You will diagnose and treat sun damage, various rashes, and perform procedures such as biopsies and excisions. The typical schedule runs from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with eight patient hours, including 1-2 half-days dedicated to surgery each week.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain clinical independence in practice, with a supervising physician available as needed.
  • Demonstrate an excellent office manner and contribute positively to a friendly and fair clinic culture.
  • Utilize prior hands-on experience in a dermatology setting, focusing primarily on medical and surgical dermatology.
  • Diagnose and treat sun damage and its results, including Actinic Keratosis and skin cancers.
  • Manage and treat a wide variety of rashes, such as eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis.
  • Diligently review and follow up on all lab results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, including discussing results and treatment plans via phone.
  • Perform shave and punch biopsies.
  • Execute excisions of both benign and malignant skin lesions.
  • Conduct Electrodesiccation and Curettage (ED&C) procedures.
  • Administer liquid nitrogen treatments (cryotherapy).
  • Oversee Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) sessions.
  • Participate in 1-2 half-days of surgery per week.
