Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day assignment in California, starting Feb 16, 2026. The schedule offers 12-hour shifts from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am, with potential 10-hour options available. This role involves working independently of Physician supervision, focusing on low acuity emergency room cases and fast track urgent care patients, including management of chest pain, abdominal pain, pelvic exams, lacerations, and eye exams.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work independent of Physician supervision
  • Manage low acuity emergency room patients
  • Assess and treat patients presenting with chest pain
  • Evaluate and manage undifferentiated abdominal pain
  • Perform pelvic exams
  • Handle occasional vertical 3 patients
  • Treat lacerations in a fast track urgent care setting
  • Conduct eye exams, including the use of slit lamps
  • Address headaches
  • Authorize technicians to perform splints
