Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 7-day assignment in California, commencing Feb 15, 2026. This role involves working independently of physician supervision across various shifts, including day options like 7AM - 7PM or 7AM - 5PM, and night shifts from 7PM - 2AM. The successful candidate will primarily manage low acuity emergency room cases, including patients presenting with chest pain, undifferentiated abdominal pain, and will perform pelvic exams, treat lacerations, conduct eye exams, and manage headaches.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work independently of physician supervision.
  • Manage low acuity emergency room cases, including patients with chest pain and undifferentiated abdominal pain.
  • Perform pelvic exams.
  • Address occasional vertical 3 patients.
  • Provide fast track urgent care services for lacerations, eye exams (including slit lamp use), and headaches.
  • Authorize technicians to perform splints.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required.
