Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This 15-day opportunity begins Dec 12, 2025, with shifts scheduled throughout December, including both 10a-10p and 10p-10a coverage. Candidates must have recent ER experience in similar-sized facilities and possess current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Proficiency with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide acute care to patients presenting in the emergency department
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and initiate treatment plans
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians and clinical staff
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate for emergency care
  • Manage a variety of urgent and emergent cases across patient age groups
  • Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
  • Adhere to facility protocols and industry standards for emergency medicine

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Recent ER experience in similar size facilities is mandatory
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR system is required
